Scott Jennings Destroys Podcast Host Over False ‘Both Sides’ Political Violence Claim

During a fiery exchange on The Tara Palmeri Show, Republican strategist Scott Jennings firmly rejected the claim that political violence is equally present on both sides of the political spectrum. Instead, he pointed to repeated instances of left-wing violence that have received minimal media scrutiny.

The clash began when host Tara Palmeri claimed that extremists on both sides were responsible for political unrest, referencing the January 6 Capitol riot as her primary example. However, Jennings pushed back, asserting that while January 6 was undeniably wrong, it was a single event, not a consistent pattern.

“The left has a problem with violence,” Jennings said. “It’s in its heart right now. And they need to get rid of it.”

Left-Wing Violence and Media Silence: A Growing Pattern?

Jennings pointed to vandalism against Tesla tied to Elon Musk’s involvement with the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). He also brought up the defense of radical individuals by prominent figures on the left.

Palmeri attempted to balance the argument by pointing to the Capitol incident, to which Jennings responded, “It was one bad day — five and a half years ago.” He then turned the conversation to ongoing and recent violence, such as the firebombing of businesses and anti-Israel protests, which, he argued, show deep-rooted hostility on the political left.

“I think you are discounting the very obvious evidence that this radicalism on the left is more than radicalism. It’s anti-Americanism. It’s anti–Western civilization,” Jennings declared.

Notable Incidents Jennings Highlighted

  • May 2025 shooting of two Israeli Embassy staff members near the Capital Jewish Museum. The suspect allegedly shouted “Free Palestine” after the attack.
  • Vandalism and firebombing against tech firms linked to conservative causes.
  • Left-wing support for radicals accused of violent crimes, including those targeting corporate leaders.
  • College campus unrest, which Jennings said has been “coddled” by progressive institutions.

Palmeri pushed back, citing the hammer attack on Paul Pelosi and the claim that “radicals exist on both sides.” But Jennings remained steadfast, asking for current examples of right-wing violence. Palmeri struggled to offer any recent or clear incidents.

Public Reaction and Growing Frustration Over Bias

The conversation reflects a growing frustration among conservatives who feel that media coverage is selectively outraged. While the January 6 riot was widely covered for years, ongoing acts of violence tied to progressive movements receive little national attention.

“Until the left purges this violent, anti-Western element,” Jennings concluded, “they’re going to keep facing these problems — and keep blaming everyone else.”

This type of confrontation is increasingly common as political figures call out what they believe is a double standard in mainstream media. Whether it’s Tesla vandalism, anti-Israel violence, or campus riots, many believe the left is given a pass.
